The Terminal page provides full isolation from the host system by using a virtual container, instead of chroot. Cubic now works on both Wayland and X-Org, and the admin password is no longer required.
New Features: Preseed Files and Boot Configurations2019-03-13T00:50:47.868902+00:002019-03-13T00:50:47.814473+00:00tag:launchpad.net,2019-03-13:/+announcement/15222Cubic PPAhttps://launchpad.net/~cubic-wizard
Release 2019.03-47 includes two new features for Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04, and 18.10: 1) Edit Preseed files, and 2) Edit Boot Configurations. This provides subtle queues to the user about what to enter and what is wrong. For example, automatically computed text entry fields are outlined with a dashed border, and optional text entry fields have a solid border, cueing the user to edit those fields. Non editable fields have a darker background, and error fields and labels are rendered in red color (error labels are also rendered in italics for accessibility support). This release also improves application stability by using threaded transitions to open filechooser dialogs. The UI has been tweaked very slightly, with a slightly wider window and increased padding between elements to help the pages appear less cluttered.
Significant Release 2017.05-18~201705302017-05-30T02:36:00.339836+00:002017-05-30T02:36:00.440753+00:00tag:launchpad.net,2017-05-30:/+announcement/14636Cubic PPAhttps://launchpad.net/~cubic-wizard
Version 2017.05-18~20170530 has just been released.
If you are using Kubuntu 15.10, note that there are a few minor graphical glitches due to the way GTK3 applications are rendered. These can be avoided by setting the Gnone Application Style (GTK) to "Default" or "oxygen-gtk".
- The radio buttons on the Existing Projects page do not have borders.
- Small spinners next to each step remains static and do not spin, even though the application is processing.
- The check box on the Finish page does not have a border, so it is not clear that a check-box is available to de-select.
